The Vanished Bride by Bella Ellis (Berkley, 2019) audiobook read by Kristin Atherton (Isis, 2020) Pitched as a mystery but there’s only so much that can be done without suspects. The book’s true strength lies in Ellis’s characterisation of the Brontë sisters (plus Branwell), which clearly is a labour of love, ably conveyed through Atherton’s audiobook reading.
