Top Gun: Maverick dir. Joseph Kosinski (2022) Predictable and undemanding, yet exhilarating and rather satisfying. A sequel that, 36 years on, captures the 1980s spirit and dynamics of the original Top Gun film while being, in almost every respect, vastly superior to it. The Maverick/Rooster relationship is nicely realised.
