Jack Irish, Series One: Blind Faith
(ABC, 2016)
A very Australian crime drama, more focussed on people and their problems/quirks than tropes and action. Guy Pearce has rumpled nicely into the lead role, nexus for a low-key, high-quality support cast. Having part of the story set in Manila works well.
